Free store memberships that save money in the US

Codes come and go, but store memberships keep paying back. Most of these are free to join. Here's what each one gave you when we checked on 31 October 2026.
Free to join
- Kohl's Rewards: 5% back on qualifying purchases, or 7.5% with a Kohl's Card, issued monthly as $5 Kohl's Cash.
- Macy's Star Rewards: 1 point per $1 at the free Bronze level; 1,000 points become $10 Star Money. Bronze members get free shipping on orders of $39 or more.
- Ulta Beauty Rewards: points on every $1 you spend; 100 points are worth $3 off.
- myWalgreens: 1% back in Walgreens Cash, and 5% on Walgreens-brand products.
- Barnes & Noble Rewards: a stamp for every $10 you spend; 10 stamps give you a $5 reward.
Worth it if you shop there often
- Target Circle Card: 5% off eligible Target purchases (subject to approval).
- Barnes & Noble Premium: $39.99 a year for 10% off and free shipping on eligible orders of $15 or more.
- Chewy Autoship: 35% off your first Autoship order (up to $20), then 5% off select brands.
Make them work for you
Join only where you already shop, and check your balance before it expires: Kohl's Cash, for example, is valid for 30 days. Rewards rarely stack with every code, so read the terms at checkout.
