Booking.com Genius vs Expedia One Key: which saves more?

The two biggest hotel booking sites both run free loyalty programmes. Neither needs a code: sign in and the member price appears.
Booking.com Genius
- Level 1 starts as soon as you sign in to a free account: 10% off selected stays and car rentals.
- Level 2 (5 bookings in 2 years) goes up to 15% off, and Level 3 (15 bookings in 2 years) up to 20%.
- Once you reach a level, you keep it.
Expedia One Key
- Member Prices of 10% or more off eligible hotels when you're signed in.
- You earn OneKeyCash, which you can spend across Expedia, Hotels.com and Vrbo.
- Taxes and fees are excluded, and some dates or minimum stays may apply.
Which to use
Use both. They're free, and the same hotel is often discounted on one site and not the other. Search on each while signed in, then compare the final price including taxes and fees. If you travel by train in Great Britain, add a 16-25 Railcard if you qualify.
